Roger Federer in this time Australian Open achieved another great milestone by winning 250 GRAND SLAM matches. He achieved this after his victory over Bernard Tomic & he became the first man to win 250.. INCREDIBLE!!!


28% of his career wins have come in Grand Slam i.e 881.

After 542 days, Jack Wilshere finally played for the Gunners having fully recovered from his knee & ankle injuries.

Wilshere stated that Arsene Wenger told him only four and half hours before the match against QPR. Initially he looked shocked but he later put on a good performance.

It would be a little boost-up for the Arsenal side to have a England player back in their team. 

He is very talented player but had a minor set-back because of these little bumps. Even Roy Hodgson would be happy to see this man taking the field simple reasons being his addition to the team can be perfect to revitalise the team.

Ashwin's contract ENHANCED

Indian spinner R.Ashwin replaced out-of-form Harbhajan Singh in the top bracket of BCCI's list of central retainership contracts. While Ishant Sharma was also demoted from Grade A to Grade B.

Harbhajan & Ishant have spend the better part of the year out of form in whatever chances they had.

But Ashwin on the other hand had been performing good. He took 49 wickets in 8 Tests since last Nov.
In ODIs he took 56 wickets in 40 matches, in T20s 12 wickets from 15 matches.

After having Dravid & Laxman retired, BCCI made only Ashwin the new name in the list of the top bracket(total 9), where the players are played annually Rs.one crore.
