Major Transfers:
1. Luka Modric (£33.3m from Tottenham Hotspur --> Real Madrid)
Probably this is the biggest transfer of this season. Modric
has proven his worth at Tottenham. He has proven his skills playing in deep
Mid-Field. Real Madrid is one of the best clubs in the world. It has Jose
Mourinho and many good players like Ronaldo. But the point is why Real Madrid went after
him!? There is no place in the team
currently. Probably he would be considered as Plan B for Xabi Alonso.
2. Robin Van Persie (£24m from Arsenal --> Manchester United)
Robin Van Persie move to ManU is obviously a big loss for Arsenal.
Last year they sold Nasri and Cesc Fabreagas. They even sold Alex Song this time. God knows how Arsene Wenger confidently
promised they can cope-up with their loss.
However, the addition of Giroud and Podolski should help
them. The only question is for the ManU..Will the move benefit them ? We know
how often this person to prone to injuries..Hope it doesn’t backfire on them.
3. Eden Hazard (£32m from Lille --> Chelsea)
Eden hazard is definitely a talented player & is worth
the money Chelsea dropped. Well, we cant except him to bring change in the team
radically but the inclusion of him makes the team well-balanced. What Chelsea would
hope is fill in place where the drogba has left. What I personally feel is, him
& Neymar are the next Messi & Ronaldo.
4. Alex song (£15m from Arsenal --> Barcelona)
Here goes another Arsenal player, Alex song to Barcelona .
He is one of top Mid-Field Players in the world. His accuracy in passing and
also his defending skills are worth the pay. His inclusion to Barca would
certainly strengthen the bench. For
Arsenal losing him is certainly a loss.
5. Fabio Borini (£10.5m from Roma --> Liverpool)
Fabio Borini cost a
fee of around £10m. This is the first signing of Manager Brendan Rogers. He is
well known for his passing accuracy. The team now has Suarez & Gerrard who
can score goals..well they had added another player to that scoring list!!
6. Jack Rodwell (£12m from Everton --> Manchester City)
He is the only notable transfer that ManCity have made this
season. His addition to the squad will give depth in the Mid-Field. Well, city
has initillay signed for £12m which is likely to raise to £15-17m. This is a 5-year deal!!!
